Fifty years of the blues
Joe Payne has spent most of a lifetime with a guitar in his hands. He started out in Sweet Springs, Missouri around 1970, sharing a stage with his three brothers — Gene, Gary and Larry — as the Payne Brothers, a working band they kept on the road for 45 years and captured across two records, Blink of an Eye and Take on Life.
These days Joe calls Edgewater, Florida home, playing up and down the coast as Joe Payne and Friends. Blues Muze is his first solo album — ten original songs cut at Sonny Yambor's Sun Splash Studios in New Smyrna Beach.
